I have noticed an explosion of employment advertisements for "New Home Sales", Is the market bad?

I’m confused as to why there are so many construction personnell being laid off but sales positions are being doubled – I would assume that they are desperate for sales – but are they setting up these salespeople for failure due to the lack of people purchasing?
Your thoughts… Please.
If there are any salespersons working with residential construction, I’d love to hear from you. How are things going? Will these new sales people be able to make a living?
Realtors in general are getting other lines of work. This is no time to go into real estate. Realtors don’t cost the broker anything. It is all commission.
