Its truely amazing ! There has been at least 3 times more homes up for Sale in America these past few years. The only reasoning for this, is PEOPLE CAN’T AFFORD OBAMAS ECONOMIC DESTRUCTION! Gas! Food! Energy bills! Water Bills! No jobs!

I’m looking for a home for sale that is a VA foreclosure home in the Rockport, TX, and surrounding areas.

Most might not be listed as VA foreclosures or HUD properties. You might google VA foreclosures/REO or HUD properties followed by Rockport, Texas to see what sites would appear. Check them out carefully.

They might simply list the properties as REO or foreclosure properties

There would be many sites listed, you would have to select the ones that best suit your needs and what you are seeking.

Watch out for those that would say trial subscription, these are pay sites.

What is the most logical offer on a short sale house asking 169k?

Has just gone up in a lake community as a short sale. Located in Michigan. Comparitive prices are 100k to 180k(area home sales in the last 2 years). Any ideas? Should I ask for sellers concession? Appreciate any sound advice.

Asking price really doesn’t matter, the bank does not give a hoot about that. The offer should be based on a BPO, have your agent do one. Offer 85-90% of that.

Can I place an offer on a short sale and still look for other houses?

There is a short sale home I’m interested in however I really don’t want to wait around forever for the bank to respond. If I make an offer and continue to look for other homes and find a different one, can I removed me offer from the first one?

If they don’t accept your offer before you decline, yes, you can remove your offer.

What percentage of homes for sale are single bedroom single bathroom. I want to live ALONE?

I want to live ALONE. With my dog. I want a single bedroom single bathroom house not an apartment because I don’t want to be that close to other people. Are these homes harder to find?

It will depend on where you are. 1 bedroom/1 bath though will be hard to find pretty much anywhere. You’d have much better luck with a 2 bedroom/1 bath. Those will most likely be older homes.

How has your experience been with For Sale By Owner.com?

Selling our home. Is For Sale By Owner or other websites reliable, trustworthy and a good way to go? Who has experience with them? I need an answer from someone that is not a realtor.

I would give it a try. In this market, you could sell one as easily as a realtor. Be prepared for calls asking if you would finance.

So my son and I are moving to Morocco Africa this March. I am looking for a decent place to live but I only have about 7,000 US and can not seem to find anything close to reasonable. I want to either find something to rent or to put a down payment on in the areas of Mohammedia, Bouznika or Casablanca. It seems like all the houses are too big with a huge price tag or the flats are really small and still expensive! PLEASE HELP!

Housing is expensive in Morocco, especially in the areas you have chosen.
It is possible to buy a 2 bedroomed flat in Tangier for $30,000 US approximately. It will be a little out of the city but there are good bus services and petit taxis are cheap.
As a foreigner, you must put down half the money as a deposit and you can apply for a mortgage from a bank.
To operate successfully in Morocco, especially the north, you need to be able to speak Spanish and/or French. Arabic is a wonderful help, too. English is not widely spoken in banks and bureaucracies.
Do you have to go to the Casablanca region?
Are you married to a Moroccan?
Do you have work here?
Are you able to apply for une carte nationale?
One word of warning, new flats at the cheaper end of the market are sold without anything..no stove to cook on, no dishwasher, no frig, sometimes even no light fittings or globes.All these costs have to be factored in as well as the purchaser’s tax that must be paid within a month of purchasing the property.
I would rent first and see how you like it. Buying and selling property in Morocco is not easyI live here and have done for 12 years I bought my own house 9 years ago. It was not easy although I speak some Arabic and fluent French.
