I have a great amount of sale’s and marketing experience and want to start my own business. I like the idea of recruiting company with little start up costs; however have a passion and flare for restaurants and the hospitality industry. I am sick of working for companies and want to start something. I want to own something. I really enjoy business and would very much like to work from the luxury of my home. Any ideas at all would be appreciated. All positive commments.. thanks.

Starting a business in this economy takes money and its very tough to get a business line of credit under the current banking rules. Also, the failure rate for new businesses in this economy is very high. None of the businesses you mentioned are things that you can do from your home. if you have an interest in restaurants and know sales, you might do well to get a job with a company that sells to restaurants. This would be less risky and might be something you could do from home. It would also give you the opportunity to talk to a lot of restaurant owners to learn more about the business. Restaurants have a very high failure rate. It takes a lot of money to buy or start a restaurant.
